nephology: love song of the weatherman (FFF9)
red sky in morning, sailors take warning:
storms ahead
you stand too close to me
the heat rises from you and flows over me, giving me shivers in this unabashed show of adiabatic cooling, and the clouds form around my head and obscure my judgment.
oh cumulonimbus! harbinger of sure storms, heavy rains and the rending of wind and electricity. fat and heavy with anticipation of things to come, things that fall from the sky and wash over us all. things that want to fall, as you make me want.
sweet noctilucent formations...rarest of creatures in my atmosphere, shining in the night when i am so blessed, and finding their way to my southern latitudes. the albedo of you, of us.
too high to be reached with balloons, more easily studied from above. i want to sound you out and find what you are made of. are you light and ice, or dust and steam? cirrus or nimbus, altostratus: take me higher despite the chances of ice.
the storms are rising
coalesce with me

oooh!
I like it.
noctilucent!!!
Woooooow!!! That was so poetic. I think I might need a dictionary, too. But I liked the feel of those words as I read them!
i liked the feel too..which is why i feel it necessary to credit wikipedia as my coauthor. jj brought the topic, so i tried to follow.
cali: so very very glad you're back. can't put it into words. very glad to see you in type again. and again, you post about 40 min after i do. you have the most screwed up internal clock of anyone i know, save me.
spinning: thanks for coming back by, my god, i haven't played this game in weeks! is my poetry lousy? i *lurved* noctilucent.
and momo...probably the kindest of people who would visit this site: thank you! i tried at poetry. sometime the thoughts flow...i just wanted to play with the idea of the storm.
wiki! remember that anything can be a dirty joke, with the proper phrasing.
You are a diction queen.
What did you call her, M. Pants? Indeed!
I had a 5 day migraine that's just about run its course. I'm not up to writing much yet. But very... what's that again? Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner-ish.
Noctilucent: Plus 5 armor against wraiths.
Your imagery was wonderful.
