this

unbelievable. anyone in another state need a roommate? anyone in another country? galaxy?

oh, wait. 'galaxies' probably don't exist in kansas.

postscript:

superman! (choking on my own bile) i know! i can't believe it. they've (the BOE and the jesus people) been talking about this for years. our attorney general is something that crawled out of satan's old drawers, and .. must stop before head explodes.

what can i say? it's home. same planet, different world.

kitty, i'm going to have to sneak out. i'm afraid they'll catch my liberal ass and send me for re-education. creepy medieval fuckers.

momo..who knows? i just don't get it. they've passed one of those defense of marriage acts, and now if your live-on S.O. beats the crap out of you, it's no longer prosecutable (i know that's not a word, i'm just pissed and typing faster than i'm thinking) as a form of domestic abuse. now it's just battery..hey! jesus hates fags, and women, and scientists, liberals, unions, porn, gambling, cheeseburgers, jimi hendrix, jimmy buffet, math and tuna melts.

but karaoke is legal!!

(going outside to beat head on curb)

This is only a victory for the remarkably small fraction of Christians who are "fundamentalist" -- believing the Bible is literal instead of figurative like the other 90 percent of Christians.

So, a small sect of ONE religion is dictating what all school children will "learn." Fantastic.

And I love the way they frame it: you're either an atheist or you support them. No. You could support science being taught at school and religion being taught at your own church/synagogue/mosque/temple.

So, if you're not religious/ don't believe in God, you can be pissed. AND, if you're a religious person, you can be pissed that God is being used as a political club. Which is PRECISELY THE REASON the constitution reads as it does, to avoid this sort of thing.

Sorry I ranted on your blog.

nikki: my apologies. i don't know that a vacation resort for people given to flights of fancy, then maddening depression should have an open bar. which *my* lodge will have. oh yes, it will.

ubie: interestingly, one of my very religious coworkers is opposed to ID (intelligent design) being taught in the classroom, because he feels it's far too personal a subject to be taught in that fashion, that is, he doesn't want someone else teaching his boys about god and creation. he wants to do it himself, in his own way. which i have to respect. moreover, he's on my side, and i'll take that.

rant on, baby.

clearly this ruling has been designed by the very intelligent lawmakers of kansas to reveal to those kids who are instilled with creationism in church and sunday school just how absurd it is.

toto? toto?? where'd that fucking dog go now....

Ohio has that same BS law being implemented where live-in couples can engage freely in Domestic Violence and never be prosecuted.

Niiiiiice.

I'm sure we'll be right behind KS with the Intelligent Design BS, too.

Who are these MORONS that get this shit passed?
